Can fairy tales come true in the real world? One princess is about to find out in Disney's new musical adventure Enchanted. Crawling out of a manhole in the middle of busy Manhattan street, Giselle sheds her animated figure and dons human form as Oscar nominee Amy Adams (Junebug). Harsh reality soon sinks in as Giselle discovers that in the real world, people are not always so likable and rarely does anyone break out into happy songs. Her fantasy idealism does not sit well with New Yorkers either, soon alienating her from the rest of the world. Then one fateful night, Giselle meets Robert (Patrick Dempsey, Grey's Anatomy), a jaded divorce lawyer with a young daughter, who takes sympathy on her and offers to let her stay at his place until she finds her own. A deep bond begins to form between the unlikely pair. Trouble lurks, however, as the evil Queen (Susan Sarandon, Stepmom) figures her way through the well and plots to kill Giselle with a poisoned apple. Though still waiting for her groom-to-be Prince Edward (James Marsden, Hairspray) to scoop her back safely to the land of eternal sunshine, Giselle wonders what it is that's holding her back from leaving the real world.
