Kamio Yoko's romance manga series Hana Yori Dango, a.k.a. Boys Over Flowers, has made it to screens in various incarnations since the mid-90s, most notably as a long-running anime series and as the popular Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden. In 2005, TBS adapted the comic for television once more, and hit ratings gold. Produced by Setoguchi Katsuaki (Good Luck!!), the series featured a fresh young cast led by Arashi's Matsumoto Jun and rising star Inoue Mao. Hana Yori Dango was so popular, the cast returned for a highly anticipated sequel in 2007, with the viewership ratings surpassing that of the first season. Hana Yori Dango ended with Matsumoto's Domyoji Tsukasa leaving for New York, and this second season picks up the story one year later.

Since Domyoji Tsukasa (Matsumoto Jun) went to New York to study, Makino Tsukushi (Inoue Mao) hasn't had the chance to speak to him. After a year apart, Tsukushi, along with the other three members of F4 - Hanazawa Rui (Oguri Shun), Mimasaka Akira (Abe Tsuyoshi), and Nishikado Sojiro (Matsuda Shota) - travels to the States to visit Tsukasa, only to find that he has completely changed. Everyone soon returns to Japan, where more surprises and romantic confusions await with the announcement that Tsukasa will be marrying his fiancee Shigeru (Natsuki Kato).

2005年10月からTBS系列で放送された、痛快青春ラブストーリー「花より男子」。神尾葉子の人気コミックをベースに、名門高校に通うヒロインが学園を牛耳る4人の御曹司とぶつかり合い、さまざまなトラブルに巻き込まれながらも、持ち前の明るさでたくましく乗り切っていく姿を描いて好評を博した。1995年の実写映画化にはじまり、1996年にはテレビアニメ化、2001年には台湾でテレビドラマ化され、それぞれに高い評価を得ている。
その続編となる本作では、大ヒットを記録したパート1と同じキャストが再集結。雑草魂を持つたくましいヒロインを井上真央が好演し、松本潤・小栗旬・松田翔太・阿部力という美男子たちが"F4"に扮している。新キャラクターも続々登場し、2時間スペシャルでオンエアされた第1話では、ニューヨーク・ロケが敢行されたことでも話題になった。
7枚組 Blu-ray Disc BOXとしてリリースされる本作には、3時間を越える映像特典が収録されるほか、第1話と最終話は未公開シーンを加えたディレクターズカット版となっている。

牧野つくしは高校卒業を目前に控え、就職か進学かで悩んでいた。学園を牛耳っていた"F4"たちが卒業してからは、周囲の生徒たちの反応も以前の厳しいものに戻りつつある。そして愛を誓い合って別れた道明寺とは、彼が留学した当初こそ頻繁に連絡を取り合っていたものの、ここ半年はなしのつぶて。そんな状況に不安を覚えるつくしは…。

Beautiful Box Set Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

I just got mine in today and was I surprised. It is even better than I expected. Each disc has it's own dvd case and all of them goes into the box set. It's really pretty. The drama is excellent. Since the price has dropped down, it is a must buy for all Jdrama fans.
