Senjou no Valkyria (a.k.a. Valkyria Chronicles) promises a unique strategy-RPG experience on the PlayStation 3. Unlike in typical turn-based strategy gaming, players are allowed to move around the battlefield in real-time in order to outwit the computer AI. Aside from its gameplay, Senjou no Valkyria possesses an amazing look, with Japanese anime-inspired character designs enhanced by a stunning watercolor look that give the graphics subtle texture and unique definition. The pseudo-European settings and World War II-like machinery, including the aged tanks and weaponry, further Valkyria's unique visual appeal.

Senjou no Valkyria is set in a fictional land resembling early twentieth-century Europe. The continent is split between the Federation and the opposing Empire, both of whom are attempting to conquer the land. The player controls a Federation soldier named Welkin, who travels with the Federation to the neutral country of Gallia to fend off an invasion from the Empire, but his adventure begins when he meets up with the local resistance.
