"My Wonderful Musical Encounters" by Priscilla.

"......Contained within this album is my Mandarin pop song titled, 'My Heart Is About To Fly' (Xin Jiuyao Fei Liao), which is from my Mandarin pop album by the same title. In my whole singing career (if you haven't noticed), I have only recorded two Mandarin albums, with the other album being released in 1988, titled, 'Foolish Girl'. If you would like to listen to how well I sing in Mandarin, this CD maybe your final chance to sample my Mandarin pronounciation of Mandopop songs. Shall you want me to sing Mandarin pop songs again, I believe I need your full support to give me that extra confidence in my ability to sing in Mandarin again. Also songs contained within this album includes: my most recent song, in which the lyrics of this song was only given to me by my producer, Mr. Michael Au, just the one day prior to my performance of 'Musical Encounters with Priscilla and the Philharmonic '97 Concert', titled - 'A Time For Two' (Yee Yun See Gaan); a marathon of a song in which I sing for a duration of 6 minutes and 9 seconds - 'Turbulence of Love' (Luen Luen Fung Chan); Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's classic theme song from the musical 'Evita', which based on the life of Eva Peron (the wife of former Argentine dictator, Juan Peron), titled - 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina'; among my other classic Cantopop songs - 'Jealousy'; 'A Wonderful Journey' (Kei Mui Lui Ching); 'The Falling Snowflakes' (Piu Shuet); and, 'When Fate Ends, It Shall End' (Yuen Liu, Jou See Yuen). I believe you shall enjoy my classical performance of my classic pop songs with the beautiful music accompaniment by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra under the music conduction by Miss. Yip Wing-sie......". - this is what Miss. Priscilla Chan may probably would've on the promotion day of this album, an idea inspired by Phil. |

Priscilla, The Queen Of Songs
| Priscilla with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra was a night to remember. She wears two nice dresses for the evening. That beautiful cheong-sam suits hers admirably. With Yip Wing-see and her orchestra, they struck each song with feeling making the whole performance a pleasure to watch. I particularly like the song "A Time For Two", because it sounded so sweet. I like her Mandarin song, for she rarely sings Mandarin songs and she sung this song perfectly. May you enjoy the lovely singing voice of Priscilla. |
